Checkered steel plate SS400
Interview
Checkered steel plate (also known as anti-slip steel plate or embossed steel plate) is a hot-rolled or cold-rolled steel plate with a regular raised pattern. By pressing patterns in shapes like diamonds, lentils, round beans, and willow leaves onto the surface, it achieves both anti-slip and decorative functions. Its base material is typically carbon steel (such as Q235B), stainless steel (such as 304), or aluminum alloy. Combining the high strength of metal with the anti-slip properties of the pattern, it is widely used in applications requiring safety, anti-slip properties, or visual decoration.

Classification by pattern shape (affects anti-slip performance and aesthetics):
Diamond pattern: Optimal anti-slip performance (grooves 2-5mm high), high contact friction, suitable for industrial load-bearing applications (such as workshop platforms);
Lentil pattern: Rounded grain, moderate anti-slip performance, and a soft visual effect, commonly used for stair treads and indoor flooring;
Pearl pattern: Small, densely packed bumps, suitable for high-traffic areas (such as shopping mall corridors and subway station steps);
Willow leaf pattern: Highly decorative, with streamlined grain, often used for wall decoration and furniture panels (non-load-bearing applications).

Key Features: Why Choose Patterned Steel Plate?
Superior Slip Resistance: The raised pattern on the surface significantly increases contact friction, effectively reducing the risk of slips, especially in humid and oily environments (such as kitchens and workshops). It is an ideal alternative to traditional flat panels.
High Load-Bearing Strength: The base metal sheet offers excellent compression and impact resistance (for example, Q235B patterned steel plate can withstand loads exceeding 500kg/m2), making it suitable for high-load applications such as load-bearing platforms and truck beds.
Easy Maintenance + Durability: Carbon steel patterned steel plate can be hot-dip galvanized to extend its lifespan (up to 15-20 years for outdoor use). Stainless steel/aluminum alloy plates require no additional rust-proofing and require only wiping for daily cleaning.
High Cost-Effectiveness: Compared to materials like anti-slip tiles and rubber mats, patterned steel plate offers a longer lifespan (3-5 times that of tiles), lowers long-term costs, and is recyclable.

Typical Application Scenarios (Covering Multiple Industries)
Industrial: Workshop operating platforms, equipment maintenance walkways, production line conveyor belt floors, and forklift access flooring (preferably galvanized carbon steel for oil and load-bearing performance);
Construction: Stair treads (with anti-slip strips), basement ramps, outdoor terrace floors, and steel factory walls (decorative and rust-resistant);
Transportation: Truck/van floors (to prevent cargo from sliding), bus steps, and ship decks (aluminum alloy for lightweight and seawater corrosion resistance);
Consumer Life: Food factory/slaughterhouse floors (stainless steel for easy cleaning and acid and alkali resistance), hospital ward corridors (anti-slip and antibacterial), and DIY furniture (aluminum alloy for lightweight and suitable for tabletops and bookshelf partitions).
